Unpacking the UPS

The shipping pallet contains several separately-packaged subassemblies:

NOTE If your UPS is already installed in an IBM RS/6000 system, then skip to
"Electrical Installation" on page 8 and then continue to "UPS Startup" on page 13.
The UPS chassis
The UPS front panel (has an LCD panel)
Two battery trays
The battery front panel
A rail kit
An accessory kit
Use the cardboard lift-out tray for unloading only. Do not use the lift-out tray to
transport or carry the UPS.
1. Using two people, remove the chassis from the package with
the lift-out tray.
2. Cut the band that holds the chassis in the lift-out tray.
