6.1 Software

If the Toolkit and D-PDU API software are not installed on the PC due to complete
installation of a diagnosis tool, the following installation steps are required:
Installation: call „SDconnect Toolkit X.exe" (x is the version number)
Installation: call „Install XS D PDU API_V_X_X_X.exe" (X_X_X is the version number)
Both software components are distributed via special distribution channels at Daimler AG.
The toolkit must be installed first. The toolkit-installation wizard asks the user to select
components. The following figure shows the settings required for the eCOM Box:
Only activate logging if errors occur and you are asked to generate log files in the scope
of a customer support query.
After successful completion of the installation, the user has two applications available
in the start menu. They are:
TKSelection-Tool to select an eCOM Box in the network,
TKAdministration-Tool to configure, test and update the eCOM Box.
