3.1 Parallel operation of several wireless cam-
eras
The wireless transmission is made in the 2.4 GHz
range which has been divided by the manufacturer
into five channels with a distance of 14 MHz. As a
maximum, three channels can be used simulta-
neously (channels 1, 3, and 5) as two adjacent chan-
nels will interfere with each other.
For the AV-3800SET, the camera transmitter is fac-
tory-set to channel 1. If you intend to operate several
AV-3800SET units at the same time, please notify
your retailer when ordering these units so that the
manufacturer will be able to set the transmitters cor-
respondingly.
3.2 Approval
The AV-3800SET is approved for operation in the
Federal Republic of Germany. The approval numbers
can be found in the specifications. For operation in
other countries, please contact your retailer, the
MONACOR subsidiary, or the corresponding authori-
ties in the country where this unit will be operated.
4 Installation
1) Screw the reception antenna (1) for the control sig-
nals and the supplied separate transmitting
antenna (2) for the camera picture to the mounting
bracket (3) according to fig. 1.
2) For mounting the pan/tilt head, a wall bracket is
required, e. g. MONACOR TVH-700. Fasten the
bracket to a suitable place, then screw the mount-
ing base (5) on this bracket.
3) Connect the mains plug of the camera to a mains
socket (230 V~/50 Hz). In case of outdoor installa-
tion, the mains connection must be weatherproof.

5 Operation

1) After connecting the camera to the mains supply,
the surveillance monitor will shortly display the
message STAND-BY, then the camera picture will
appear.
2) Open the battery compartment cover (15) of the
remote control and insert two 1.5 V batteries of
type AAA as printed on the cover. Close the cover.
If the remote control is not used for a longer
period, the batteries should be removed to prevent
any damage to the remote control in case of bat-
tery leakage.
