3 Applications
The units have especially been designed for
use in alarm and monitoring systems. The ca-
mera is suitable for infrared and equipped
with an automatic gain control (AGC) as
well as an automatic electronic shutter

nique, to connect the camera and the power
supply unit only a coaxial cable is necessary
to lead the power supply and the video signal.

4 Setting into Operation

1) Mount the camera in the desired position.
2) Connect the BNC jack of the camera (9)
via a 75 Ω coaxial cable to the jack TO
CAMERA (7). To keep the cable losses
as low as possible, a cable of high quality
should be used from 100 m on:

Up to 600 m the cable VCC-59 by
MONACOR is also suitable.
3) Connect the video output (6) via a 75 Ω
coaxial cable to the video input jack of the
monitor or a camera switcher resp. video
splitter. Observe the correct 75 Ω termi-
nation.
4) Plug the mains plug into a socket
(230 V~/50 Hz) and switch on the power
supply unit with the POWER switch (2).
Arrange the camera exactly to the moni-
toring range, and adjust a clear picture by
turning the lens (8).

5) With the four sliding switches VIDEO GAIN
ADJ. (5) on the rear side of the power sup-
ply unit it is possible to change the video
output level, if required (see the following
table). Thus, level losses due to a long
connection cable between the camera and
the supply unit can be compensated.
