Installation

Cutting the flush bolt rods to size

1 Cut the flush bolt rods straight to the calculated length using a hacksaw
(tolerance: ± 2 mm).
2 Remove sharp edges on the cut edge with some emery paper or a fine metal
file.
Ö The flush bolt rods are the appropriate lengths and may be installed.

Preparation for mounting

1 Place the door horizontally on an (ideally hip-high) assembly surface.
2 Cut two synthetic wires for the upper and lower flush bolts to a length that is
twice the rod length plus 30 cm for each (Pic. 4, a1 and a2).
3 Pull one synthetic loop through the upper flush bolt rod and one through the
hole in the thread of the lower flush bolt rod (Pic. 7).

Installing the Espagnolette

1 Follow the ASSA ABLOY Easy-Installation steps (Pic. 7 to Pic. 15, starting on
page 74)
2 Test all functions of the Espagnolette and the door. The Espagnolette must
operate consistently smoothly for all functions. An inconsistent or sluggish
movement of the Espagnolette can indicate a mounting error or distorted
installation of the lock.
Ö The Espagnolette is ready for use.
