3. General
Following these instructions will ensure the unit runs trouble free. Always use cleaning agents recommended for the
use together with the carpet extractor. Poor cleaning quality often occurs when using improper cleaning agents.
Unpack the machine and compare the different parts with the drawing at the front of the operating instructions.
4. Application
The standard equipment allows you to use the TW 411 / TW 412 as a carpet extactor.
Using optional accessories gives you a large variety of applications for the unit. These are
Upholstery cleaning (with upholstery tool / optional accessory)
-
- Cleaning of floors (with hardfloor tool / optional accessory))
- Stairs cleaning (with stairs tool / optional accessory)
5. Preparations for using the machine / Operation
Before operating the TW 411 / TW 412 :
Remove plants and furniture from the room.
Vacuum clean the carpets thoroughly.
Treat stains with pre-cleaner.
Only use cleaning agents recommended by the manufacturer. The recommended cleaning agents have been
specially developped and tested for carpet cleaning.
Assembly and application:
Fill clean water tank (1) with warm water and cleaning agent up to the lower rim of the filling opening. (Dilution

according to the label on the cleaning agent)
Connect the vacuuming hose (11) to the connector for vacuuming hose (7).

Press the nipple at the end of the spraying hose (12) into the quick connector on the unit (6).

Add a small quantity of defoamer to the waste water tank. The defoamer prevents large amount of foam which can

damage the vacuum motor.
Check position of the waste water tank cover (3).

Connect the connector at the end of the hose to the carpet tool. Connect the quick connector at the end of the

spraying hose to the nipple of the valve.
7. 7. Before using the unit always make sure that the carpets to be cleaned are color-fast. To test color-fastness of
the carpet put a little amount of the carpet cleaning agent onto a white cloth and rub onto the carpet in hidden
corner. If the carpet is not color-fast the white cloth will stain.
8. Spray extraction process
a. Switch-on vacuum switch (13), then pump switch (14).
b. By pressing the handle of the valve water and cleaning solution is sprayed onto the carpet.
The dirt inside the carpet is rinsed to the top of the carpet and immediately vacuumed.
c. Whilst pulling the valve trigger gently pull the carpet tool over the carpet. At the end of a
line release the trigger and lift the tool from the carpet. Start a new line by slightly over-
lapping by 2 to 3 cm.
d For a thorough cleaning pull the carpet tool slowly. To reduce the drying time of the carpet
pass over the already cleaned line but without pulling the trigger of the valve.
e. When no more cleaning solution exits the spraying jet immediately swith-off the unit.
Empty the dirty water tank and re-fill with clean water and cleaning solution to continue
carpet extraction.
