If the defect or fault cannot be remedied by applying the suggestions in Table 4, return the
compact light source for service by the manufacturer giving a detailed description of the
problem.

Service

6.1 Maintenance and cleaning

The Compact Light Source HXP 120 V does not need regular maintenance. This does not
release the user from the obligation to carry out the statutory inspections for electric safety
and accident prevention.
Switch off the Compact Light Source HXP 120 V before cleaning it. Use a dry,
lintfree cloth for cleaning. When cleaning the device, avoid the entry of dust or other
material through the ventilation slots. If the device is damaged (including external
damage), switch it off immediately and return it to service.
If the Compact Light Source HXP 120 V is not used for a longer time, cover it
suitably (e.g., use the plastic bag from the original packaging) to prevent the entry of
dust.

6.2 Spare parts and accessories

The user of the Compact Light Source HXP 120 V should only change the device
fuses, the lamp and the glass of the protective filter. Removal and installation of the
lamp and the protective filter are described in detail in chapters „4.2 Installing and
changing the lamp" and „4.3 Protective filter". Sources from which to obtain the filter
glass can be inquired from the supplier of the Compact Light Source HXP 120 V.
