Fundamentals

1.1 General information

Read these operating instructions carefully before you connect and use the Compact Light
Source HXP 120 V. The product must only be used by instructed persons. The user must
also be familiar with the connection and operation of all components connected to the
ballast. These operating instructions belong to the product and must be available for the
life of the product. If the product is transferred to another user, the operating instructions
must also be transferred.
The product was developed, manufactured and tested in accordance with norm EN 61010-1:2002
(IEC 1010-1) „Safety requirements for electrical equipment for measurement, control and
laboratory use" and in compliance with the applicable requirements of Annex 1 to Directive
2006/95/EG.
The Compact Light Source HXP 120 V complies with the requirements of EG directive
2004/108/EG. The norms and standards with which the product complies are listed in
chapter 3 „Technical specifications" in these operating instructions. Conformity with these
norms and standards is documented by the CE label. The following hazard warning
symbols have been used in these operating instructions:
