1.3 Transport, storage and unpacking

To avoid damage to the lamp and the device, the lamp must be removed before the
Compact Light Source HXP 120 V is transported.
The ambient conditions for transport and storage of the device specified in these
operating instructions must be observed. It is safest to transport the Compact Light
Source HXP 120 V in the original packaging. If damage is found when the Compact
Light Source HXP 120 V is removed from the original packaging, inform the supplier
or the forwarder without delay.
For unpacking, open the carton on top. The Compact Light Source HXP 120 V can
be lifted from the carton together with the foam mold. Then the foam mold and the
plastic bag can be removed from the device. Inspect the delivery of the compact
light source (see „2,3 Scope of delivery") for missing items. After unpacking, leave
the Compact Light Source HXP 120 V for about 1 hour to adjust to room conditions
before you start using it. This avoids damage from condensing water which forms
when the temperature difference is high inside the device.

1.4 Terms of warranty

No repair or maintenance except as specified in these operating instructions must be
carried out on the device. Repairs must only be carried out by the device supplier or an
authorized repair center.
