5 To switch off the compressor, press the ON/OFF
switch down.
Adjusting the pressure (Fig. 5)
1 The pressure in the tank is controlled by the
pressure switch under the pressure switch cover
(2). When the set maximum pressure is reached,
the pressure switch is activated and the engine
is switched off. The pressure then decreases as
the air is consumed by the connected tool until
the set minimum pressure is reached. The pres-
sure switch then switches the engine on again.
The operator at the compressor should be careful
that during operation, under the influence of the
rising and falling pressure in the tank, the engine
switches on and off. The engine starts without any
warning.
2 The maximum and minimum pressures were set at
the factory. Do not change these settings.
3 All accessories were connected to the adjustable
outlet valve (6).
4 The outlet pressure can be changed by turning the
knob (5) as shown on the working manometer (7).
Attention: Air must flow through the outlet to read the
correct working pressure.
The adjustable valve must be adjusted and the pres-
sure read with the valve open while air flows through
the accessory from the adjustable discharge.
To increase the working pressure, turn the valve clock-
wise. To reduce the working pressure, turn the valve
anticlockwise.
Attention: If air is not allowed to flow during the set-
tings, a false reading will be obtained. Air must be flow-
ing for a correct reading.
5 When you have finished your work or if you leave
the compressor unattended, switch off the device
as follows:
- Press the ON/OFF switch (3) down.
- Wait until the compressed air is released via the
exhaust valve under the switch cover (2).
Attention: When you press the button down, you
should hear a short release of air (about ½ second).
9. Electrical connection
The electrical motor installed is connected and
ready for operation. The connection complies with
the applicable VDE and DIN provisions. The cus-
tomer's mains connection as well as the exten-
sion cable used must also comply with these reg-
ulations.
When working with spray attachments and during tem-
porary use outdoors, the device must be connected to
a residual current circuit breaker with a trigger current
of 30 mA or less.
Important information
In the event of overloading, the motor will switch itself
off. After a cool-down period (time varies) the motor
can be switched back on again.
Damaged electrical connection cable.
The insulation on electrical connection cables is often
damaged.
This may have the following causes:
• Pressure points, where connection cables are
passed through windows or doors.
• Kinks where the connection cable has been improp-
erly fastened or routed.
• Places where the connection cables have been cut
due to being driven over.
• Insulation damage due to being ripped out of the
wall outlet.
• Cracks due to the insulation ageing.
Such damaged electrical connection cables must not
be used and are life-threatening due to the insulation
damage.
Check the electrical connection cables for damage
regularly. Ensure that the connection cables are dis-
connected from electrical power when checking for
damage. Electrical connection cables must com-
ply with the applicable VDE and DIN provisions.
Only use connection cables with the designation
"H05VV-F".
The printing of the type designation on the connection
cable is mandatory.
