7. Before commissioning
• Before connecting the machine, make certain that
the data on the type plate matches with the mains
power data.
• Prior to initial commissioning, remove the transport
plug (G) and fill the compressor pump housing with
oil as described in item 8.3.
• Check the device for transport damage. Report
any damage immediately to the transport company
which was used to deliver the compressor.
• Install the compressor near the point of consump-
tion.
• Avoid long air lines and supply lines (extension cables).
• Make sure that the intake air is dry and free of dust.
• Do not deploy the compressor in damp or wet areas.
• Operate the compressor only in suitable areas (well
ventilated, ambient temperature +5°C to 40°C).
There must be no dust, acids, vapours, explosive
gases or inflammable gases in the room.
• The compressor is designed to be used in dry
rooms. It is prohibited to use the compressor in are-
as where work is conducted with sprayed water.
• The oil level in the compressor pump must be
checked before commissioning.
• The compressor may only be used outdoor briefly
when the ambient conditions are dry.
• The compressor must always be kept dry and must
not be left outdoors after work is complete.
8. Attachment and operation
Attention!
Always make sure the device is fully assembled before
commissioning!
8.1 Fitting the wheels and rubber feet (Fig. 4)
• Slide on one washer (B), one wheel (A), one washer
(B) on both sides.
• Insert split pin (C) through wheel axle (D) and bend
slightly for safety.
• Fit a rubber foot (F) on each of the standpipes (E).
8.2 Fitting the air filter (Fig. 2)
• Screw the air filters (11) onto the cylinders.
• For maintenance purposes, loosen the air filter (11)
by turning it anticlockwise.
8.3 Replacing the transport plug (G)
• Remove the transport plug (G) from the oil filler
hole.

• Fill the compressor oil supplied into the compres-
sor pump housing and fit the enclosed oil plug into
the oil filler hole.
• Always check the oil level on the sight glass (12) be-
fore switching on. It should ideally be in the middle
of the red circle (Fig. 3).

m Warning: Be sure to check the oil level before the
first use!
1 Operation without oil will cause irreparable dam-
age to the device and will invalidate the warranty.
2 Remove the oil plug (10) from the top of the com-
pressor housing crankcase.
3 Check the oil level using the sight glass (12). The oil
level must be within the red circle. (Fig. 3)
4 Fit the oil plug (10) and tighten it.
8.4 Mains power connection
• The compressor is equipped with a mains cable
with protective contact plug. This can be connected
to any mains socket 230 V~ / 50 Hz with an earth
contact and that is protected at 16 A.
• Before commissioning, ensure that the mains volt-
age matches with the operating voltage and the ma-
chine's power rating on the type plate.
• Long supply cables, extensions, cable reels, etc.
cause a drop in voltage and can impede motor start-
up.
• In the case of temperatures below +5°C, motor
starting can be endangered by sluggishness.
Warning: Because compressed air escapes from the
outlet, the outlet must not be directed against the oper-
ator or against persons in the vicinity. Do not inhale the
air emitted from the device.
8.5 Switching the compressor on and off
(Fig. 5)
1 Check the type plate on the compressor: 230-240
V (or 110-120 V).
2 Plug the compressor cable into a standard 240 V
(or 120 V) socket and switch on the device.
3 To switch on the compressor, lift the On/Off switch
(3) on the pressure switch cover (2).
4 As soon as the operating pressure of 8 bar is
reached, the compressor switches off automati-
cally. If the boiler pressure falls below approx. 8
bar during operation, the compressor switches on
again automatically until the operating pressure of
8 bar is reached again.
