Add/remove insert tool
1. Insert the required socket (7) into the ½ inch square
socket (1).
2. To remove, pull the socket (7) from the ½ inch square
socket (1).
3. For connections that are difficult to access, place the
extension (6) between the square drive (1) and the
socket wrench insert (7).

1. Check the torque wrench and all attachments for dam-
age or contamination before each use.
2. Before use, release the torque wrench several times
with a low torque setting to ensure correct lubrication.
3. Ensure that the direction of rotation switch is set cor-
rectly.
4. Place the torque wrench with the socket wrench insert
on the screw connection.
5. To tighten a screw connection, turn the torque wrench
clockwise by hand, evenly and without excessive
pressure. Avoid sudden movements. Never extend
the lever.
6. When the set torque is reached, you will hear and feel
a "click". Do not apply any further pressure and re-
lease the torque wrench immediately.
7. Please note that the "click" can be very gentle and
quiet, especially at low torque settings.
8. After use, relax the torque wrench by setting it to the
lowest possible torque.

Cleaning and maintenance
9.1
Cleaning
1. We recommend that you clean the product directly af-
ter every use.
2. Never immerse the product in water or other liquids
for cleaning.
3. Do not splash the product with water.
4. Clean the product at regular intervals using a damp
cloth* and a little soft soap. Do not use any cleaning
products or solvents; they could attack the plastic
parts of the product. Make sure that no water can pen-
etrate the product interior.
* = may not be included in the scope of delivery!

Maintenance
1. Check the product for obvious defects such as loose,
worn or damaged parts before each use.
2. For safety reasons, replace any damaged or cracked
tool attachments.
3. Ensure that your torque wrench is tested or calibrated
in accordance with EN ISO 6789-1 after 5,000 opera-
tions or after a maximum of 12 months. If the torque
wrench is not properly checked or calibrated, it may
not function correctly and may be less accurate.
10 Storage and transport
• Clean and check the product for damage.
• Store the product in the transport case.
10.1
Storage
Store the product and its accessories in a dark, dry and
frost-free place that is inaccessible to children.
The optimum storage temperature is between 5°C and
30˚C.
Store the product in its original packaging.
Cover the product to protect it from dust or moisture.
Store the operating manual with the product.
10.2
Transport
• Transport the product in its transport case.
• Protect the product from impacts, shocks and severe
vibrations, e.g. during vehicular transport.
• Secure the product to prevent it slipping and toppling.
11 Repair and ordering spare parts
After repairs or maintenance, make sure that all safety-re-
lated parts are installed and are in perfect condition. All
parts which may cause injury must be kept where they
are inaccessible to children or others.
ATTENTION
According to the German Product Liability Act, no liabili-
ty is accepted for damage caused by improper repairs
or by not using original spare parts.
Such work should be performed by a customer service
centre or an authorised specialists. The same applies to
accessory parts.
