To improve the removal of dust from the workpiece surface, the jigsaw is
equipped with its own dust blow-off or dust e x t r a c t i o n system
to clean the cutting surface. The dust blow-off and dust extraction system
works more efficiently when the guard is lowered.
The switch in Fig. A13 is used to decide whether the spoil is to be blown
away or whether it is to be drawn in by the hoover. If the switch is moved
to the front of the unit the dust will be blown away. If towards the back
the dust will be directed into the dust extraction port.
• Insert the adapter fig. A10 as far as it will go into the foot of fig. B5.
• Connect the suction hose of the dust extraction system to the
adapter Fig. A10.
• Removal of the adaptor proceeds in reverse order to its installation.
OPERATION / SETTINGS
ON/OFF
The device is equipped with a Fig. A2 safety switch to prevent
accidental start-up.
Switching on
• To start the jigsaw, press the on/off button
Switching off
• Pressing the back of the on/off button

Each time the switch button is pressed, Fig. A2, the (LED) light illuminates
the work area.
SAW BLADE SWING ADJUSTMENT
The available possibility of adjusting the pendulum movement of the blade
in addition to its reciprocating movement makes it possible to better
adapt the parameters of the jigsaw to the requirements of the workpiece.
The pendulum movement is adjusted in increments by means o f t h e
p e n d u l u m

range from 0 to 3 fig. C2. The most favourable selection of the pendulum
movement stroke for particular materials is provided by the table below.
This function speeds up the cutting of the material in question, but at the
expense of cutting precision.
Suggested settings for the shuttle function
Sheet metal in general: 0
Aluminium sheet: 1- 2
Wooden plywood: 0 - 1
When using a knife-type blade, the swing adjustment switch
should be set to 0. When cutting metal, lubrication is
recommended.
FOOT ADJUSTMENT FOR ANGLED CUTTING
The adjustable jigsaw foot allows angled cuts from 0° to 45° (in both
directions).
• Remove the adapter fig. A10 from the footplate fig. A8.
• Release the adjustment lock Fig. B7.
• Move the foot Fig. A8 forward and tilt left or right (up to 45°).
• Set the foot Fig. A8 to the desired angle, move backwards and
secure with the locking device Fig. B7.
The angle graduation on the foot fig. B6 allows the foot to be inclined at angles
of 0°, 2 2 . 5°, or 45° (right or left). Always check that the
mechanism is secure after adjustment.
CUTTING
• Place the front part of the foot Fig. A8 flat on the material to be cut so that
the blade does not touch the material.
• Start the jigsaw and wait until it reaches the correct speed.
• Move the jigsaw slowly guiding the blade along the pre-determined
cutting line.
• When cutting along a curved line, guide the jigsaw very gently.
The cut should be made evenly, taking care not to overload the jigsaw.
Excessive pressure exerted on the saw blade will have an inhibiting effect
on the pendulum movement, which will adversely affect cutting
performance. If it is necessary to make cuts in a gentle curve, the
pendulum motion should be reduced or completely switched off.
If, during operation, the entire surface of the jigsaw foot is not
against the surface of the workpiece but is raised above it, there
is a danger of the blade kicking back or breaking.

CUTTING A HOLE IN THE MATERIAL
• Drill a 10 mm diameter hole in the material.
• Insert the saw blade into the hole and start cutting from the hole
made.
METAL CUTTING / TYPES OF SAW BLADES
For cutting through metal, suitable blades with a higher number of teeth
should be used.
When cutting through metal, a suitable lubricant (cutting oil) must be used.
Cutting metal without lubrication leads to accelerated blade wear. The table
below provides the most favourable choice of saw blade:

• Use only appropriate and sharp saw blades.
• Do not use blades with a damaged shank.
• Use the correct types of saw blades.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Remove the battery from the unit before c a r r y i n g
installation, adjustment, repair or operation.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
• It is recommended to clean the device immediately after each use.
• Do not use water or other liquids for cleaning.
• The unit should be cleaned with a dry piece of cloth or blown with low-
pressure compressed air.
• Do not use any cleaning agents or solvents, as these may damage the
plastic parts.
• Clean the ventilation slots in the motor housing regularly to prevent
the
unit
from
overheating.

screwdrivers or similar objects into the slots.
• It is recommended that the guide roller be lubricated periodically. A
drop of oil applied to this area will extend its life.
• If excessive sparking occurs on the commutator, have the condition of
the motor's carbon brushes checked by a qualified person.
• Always store the device in a dry place out of the reach of children.
• Store the device with the battery removed.
Any defects should be rectified by the manufacturer's authorised service
department.
INSTALLATION OF PARALLEL CUTTING GUIDE
The parallel cutting guide can be mounted on the right or left side of the
machine foot.
• Loosen the parallel guide lock screws fig. C1.
• Insert the parallel guide bar into the holes in the footplate fig. C7, set
the desired distance (using the graduations) and fix by tightening the
parallel guide lock screws fig. C 1 .
The guide bar of the parallel guide should face downwards.
The parallel guide can also be used for bevel cutting from 0° to 45°.
