SPECIAL PROVISIONS FOR THE SAFE OPERATION OF
THE JIGSAW
• When carrying out work where the work tool could encounter
concealed electrical wires, hold the tool by the insulated surfaces of
the handle Contact with the mains cable may cause voltage to
appear on the metal parts of the power tool, which could result in
electric shock.
• Keep your hands at a safe distance from the cutting range Do not
slide them under the workpiece There is a danger of injury when
coming into contact with the blade.
• Switch off the jigsaw when the work is finished The blade can be
removed from the workpiece when it is at a standstill In this way,
kickback is avoided and the power tool can be put away safely.
• Use only undamaged blades that are in perfect working condition
Bent, unsharpened blades can break, can additionally affect the
cutting line and can also contribute to kickback.
• Dust from certain types of wood, or certain types of metal, can be a
health hazard and can cause allergic reactions, respiratory diseases
or lead to cancer
- dust masks should be used during cutting to protect the respiratory
tract from cutting dust.
- use dust extraction when cutting wood.
- always ensure that the workplace is well ventilated.
• Do not cut through water pipes with the jigsaw. Cutting the pipe will
cause damage to property or may result in electrical shock.
• To avoid cutting through nails, screws and other hard objects,
inspect the workpiece carefully before starting work.
• Material whose dimensions (thickness) exceed those specified in
the technical data must not be cut.
• Hold the jigsaw with the hand closed.
• Before pressing the switch, ensure that the jigsaw does not touch
the material.
• Do not touch moving parts with your hand.
• Do not put the jigsaw down if it is still in motion. Do not switch on the
jigsaw before gripping it with your hand.
• Do not touch the blade or the workpiece just after the work is
completed These parts can become very hot and may cause burns.
• If you notice abnormal behaviour of the power tool or strange noises,
immediately switch off and unplug the power tool from the power
socket.
• To ensure proper cooling, the ventilation holes in the jigsaw housing
should be exposed.
CHARGER AND BATTERY SAFETY RULES
PROPER BATTERY HANDLING AND OPERATION
• The battery charging process should be under the control of the user.
• Avoid charging the battery at temperatures below 0°C.
• Only charge the batteries with the charger recommended by the
manufacturer. The use of a charger designed to charge a different
type of battery poses a risk of fire.
• When the battery is not in use, keep it away from metal objects
such as paper clips, coins, keys nails, screws, or other small
metal items that
t e r m i n a l s . Short-circuiting the battery terminals can cause
burns or fire.
In the event of damage and/or misuse of the battery, gases may
be released. Ventilate the room, consult a doctor in case of
discomfort. The gases may damage the respiratory tract.
• Fluid leakage from the battery can occur in extreme conditions.
Liquid leaking from the battery can cause irritation or burns. If a leak
is detected, proceed as foll o ws:
• Carefully wipe off the liquid with a piece of cloth. Avoid contact of the liquid
with the skin or eyes.
• if the liquid comes into contact with the skin, the relevant area on the body should
be washed immediately with copious amounts of clean water, or neutralise the
liquid with a mild acid such as lemon juice or vinegar.
• if the liquid gets into the eyes, rinse them immediately with plenty of clean
water for at least 10 minutes and seek medical advice.
