16. Handling

• Take note of all the safety instructions in these operating instructions!
• When setting up the product, make sure that the cable is neither kinked nor
squeezed.
• Operation is only permissible in dry indoor locations. The product must not get
damp or wet!
• Avoid the following adverse ambient conditions at the place of installation or
during transport:
- moisture or high humidity
- extreme cold (< 0°C) or heat (> 35°C), direct sunlight
- dust or flammable gases, fumes or solvents
- strong vibrations, impacts or blows
- strong magnetic fields as present near machines or loudspeakers
• Never use the product immediately after it was taken from a cold into a warm
room. The resulting condensation may destroy the device. Apart from this, is risk
of an electric shock from the mains adapter! Allow the device to reach room
temperature before connecting and using it. This process may take several
hours.
• Make sure the insulation of the whole product is neither damaged nor destroyed.
• Always check the device for damage before using it!
• If any damage is found, the device must NOT be connected to the mains voltage.
Mortal danger!
• Safe operation must be presumed to be no longer possible, if
- the device shows any visible damage,
- the device does not operate any longer and
- the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time
or
- after it was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport.
• Servicing or repair may only be carried out by a specialist/specialist workshop.
