c) Buttons at the Router

WPS / Reset Press the button for 1 second to
activate WPS. If the button is
pressed for longer than 5 seconds,
the router performs a reset.
Mode This button switches the operating
mode.
Press the button approx. 1-2 sec-
onds until the LED for the current
operating mode goes out.
After a moment, the next LED starts
to flash. Once it is permanently lit,
the new operating mode is active.

8. Router Connection and Commissioning

a) Router Connection for the Respective Operating Mode


First select the operating mode desired by you and connect the router as described
in the respective section. Then continue with chapter 8. b).
• Operating Mode "3G Wireless Router Mode"
Connect your external USB-UMTS modem to the router's USB connection.
• Operating Mode "Wireless Router Mode (Gateway)"
Connect your external DSL or cable modem to the router's LAN connection.
• Operating Mode "Wireless AP Mode"
In this operating mode, configuration must be completed before the router is connected to
your present main router with a 1:1-linked network cable.
• Operating Mode "Wireless Client Mode (Station)"
Connect the network card of your computer to the router's LAN socket via a network cable.
