b) Router Connection


The following must be performed independently of the operating mode used.
• Connect the router to the mains voltage with the included mains adapter. The router's power
LED lights up.
The router starts up. This process takes about 30 seconds. When it is completed, the
wireless LED and one of the 4 operating mode LEDs are lit.
• Switch on your computer and wait until the operating system has started up completely.

c) General Notes on Configuration

• This router has two different ways of selecting the operating mode.
The first is directly selecting the operating more during configuration via the webinterface.
The second option is selecting the mode before configuration using the "Mode" button on the
bottom of the router.
Attention! Operating mode "Wireless AP Mode" must be selected after configura-
tion! Otherwise, the webinterface will no longer be easy to access. This problem is
not present with any of the other 3 operating modes. There, you can make your
selection before configuration in the webinterface.
• To switch the operating mode by "Mode" button, proceed as follows.
Press the "Mode" button on the bottom of the router for approx. 1-2 seconds until the LED
for the current operating mode goes out. After a moment, the next LED starts to flash. Once
it is permanently lit, this operating mode is active.
Repeat this procedure until the LED for the desired operating mode is lit.
