Keypad Lock
To avoid accidentally changing of settings, press
second. The
functions are disabled. When locked, you will be able to turn the radio off and
on, increase or decrease volume, monitor, transmit and send a call tone. To
unlock, press SCAN again for at least 1 second.
Memory-keys
MEM 1 and MEM 2 are one-touch direct keys to select between pre-
programmed channels. Via menu steps 6 or 7 (press 6 or 7 x MODE) you may
program Your own channel wishes for these 2 memory locations.
VOX Operation
VOX (voice operated transmit) operation allows you to transmit without using
the PTT button. This feature is mainly used when you have no hand free for
pressing the PTT button or as baby monitor. VOX function can be used with
the integrated microphone and external mic / headsets as well. An external
headset must be suitable for VOX operation (in most cases such headsets
have a switch VOX-PTT).
To enable VOX operation:

Press VOX times until the icon VOX and Uo

oF means that VOX is not activated (PTT operation), while 01 up to 05
show that VOX is activated.

Select the desired sensitivity level via
(where 05 is the highest sensitivity, suitable especially for baby or
room monitoring)

Press PTT shortly to save settings and exit.
