Operating Instructions

Direct mount drives are designed for driving sectional doors and roll-up doors. Different
applications are only permitted after obtaining consent from BECKER-Drives. The installer must
ensure that the drive is mounted on a bracket or torque arm with adequate strength, preferably
using shock mounts. Then the installation procedures for the various types of door must be
observed in order to put the drives into operation. To facilitate installation BECKER recommends
using the mechanical and electrical BECKER accessories which are specially designed and
tested for these drives.
Please grease the hollow barrel before installation!

Remove the cover from the limit switching unit
1. Press the button for the „CLOSE" direction of rotation. Now the door should move in the
direction of „CLOSE". If this does not happen, switch off at the mains and swap over the two
phases (L1 and L2). Switch on at the mains again.
2. Allow the drive to move in the „CLOSE" direction until the door is closed.
3. All operating cams have 12 stops (12 x 30° = 360°).
Rotate operating cam S6 in the direction of „CLOSE" until the fine adjustment screw is
readily accessible after the cam has stopped. Adjust the rest of the distance with the fine
adjustment screw until the limit switch is actuated (it can be heard to switch).
4. Allow the drive to move in the „OPEN" direction until the door is open.
5. Rotate operating cam S5 in the direction of „OPEN" until the fine adjustment screw is readily
accessible after the cam has stopped. Adjust the rest of the distance with the fine
adjustment screw until the limit switch is actuated (it can be heard to switch).
6. Set the yellow cams S1F („OPEN" safety limit switch) and S2F („CLOSE" safety limit switch)
with lag in the same way as described in paragraphs 3 and 4.
7. Set the pre-limit switches for introducing delay, S7 and S8, to the appropriate height by the
same method.
8. Move the door to the end limits and check the end limits setting. If necessary, readjust the
operating cams at the fine adjustment screw.
Replace the cover on the limit switch unit and screw it back on.
