Operating and mounting instructions
Alternatively, other heavy-duty anchors are also permitted. The fittings must, however, meet the following requirements:
Anchoring bolt or threaded rod:
Hexagon nut DIN/ISO 934:
Washer DIN/ISO 125:
Anchoring holes in the safe which are not used for anchoring, must be closed from the inside with the enclosed plastic
plugs (diameter 30mm). The plugs must be pressed firmly into the holes and possibly additionally glued in.
Cable holes in the safe are closed at the factory with a conical silicone plug. The plug can be pulled out of the hole if
necessary.
If you lose a plug, please contact your safe dealer, quoting item reference FORMAT A1003082 (anchor hole) or FORMAT
A1018362 (cable hole).
3.2 Anchoring with the enclosed fitting (concrete screw anchor)
NOTE!
Before anchoring, please make absolutely sure that the subsurface is suitable for the fitting supplied and that
there are no cables, lines, pipes or similar in the drilling area. Otherwise, a different anchoring method must be
selected.
Position the safe at the intended location and align it so that it is level. Mark the drilling position in the area to be
anchored through the anchoring holes in the safe. [Fig. 1.]
Drill at least 140 mm deep into the substrate with a masonry drill bit (Ø 10 mm). Now clean the borehole (suck out
drilling dust) [Fig. 2a]. Cleaning of the drill hole may be omitted if drilling is done vertically downwards. However, the drill
hole depth should then be increased by 30mm [Figure 2b/2c].
Screw the concrete screw through the anchoring hole into the drill hole. For this, you can use any impact spanner or, in
the case of manual assembly, a ratchet with socket spanner (spanner size SW 15) [Fig. 3a/3b].
Tighten the screw to the max. torques given below until the screw head rests firmly against the fitting sleeve in the safe
or the base plate [Fig. 4.].

After tightening, you must close any unused fastening holes in the safe body with the enclosed plastic sealing plugs
(diameter 30 mm).
In the event of burglary/theft, your insurer is not liable for property damage or financial losses in the event of improper
anchoring.
