Return call within... [acknowledgement]
This menu item is used to enter the time (in minutes) for a return call. This means that in case of a
fault or an alarm, a message is sent to the first target phone number. If no acknowledgement return
call or SMS is received within the specified time, two further messages are sent to the same number.
If still no return call is received after these attempts, the second target number is called max. 3 times,
and after that the third and fourth numbers are called max. 3 times each. If no return call is received
even after these 12 messages, the control unit is switched to "Modem" fault, and no further calls are
made.
If an acknowledgement is made at a later time, the "Modem" fault is reset and a status message is
sent.
A further message is sent only after a new fault occurs.
To prevent unauthorised access to the modem, the software compares the
return call phone numbers with the numbers stored in the "Target 1 – 4" menu.
As only the numbers are compared, no text is required in the
acknowledgement return call.
In some cases, an automatic acknowledgement from the network operator /
provider is also possible
Depending on the provider, it might also be possible to respond directly to an
SMS >> E-mail.
