Instructions for Use – Hercules Prime R129
7.7 5-point positioning belt
Please note: The 5-point positioning belt is used to position the user in the seat and
does not protect the user in an accident. To secure the user in the seat, the 3-point
safety belt available in the car must always be used.
7.7.1 Adjusting the height of the shoulder straps
Loosen the shoulder straps behind the back padding. (Fig. 20) Then pass them
through the belt guides in the back plate at a height suitable for the user. (Fig. 21)
Please ensure that the straps are threaded correctly into the back plate, an illustration
for this is located directly on the back plate. (Fig. 3)
7.7.2 Changing the strap length (shoulder straps)
Pull on the loose straps to shorten and tighten the straps. To lengthen the straps,
press the trigger of the strap tensioners and then pull the strap to the desired length.
(Fig. 22) By changing the adjustment range on the belt tensioner, you can adapt the
belt even better to the user.
7.7.3 Changing the belt length (lap belt)
If the adjustment at the belt straps is not sufficient, you can also adjust the pelvic belt
in the lower area of the back plate. To do this, loosen the threaded belt and adjust it
to the desired length. Make sure that the end of the strap protrudes at least 5 cm / 2"
from the slot in the back plate. (Fig. 23)
7.7.4 Belt buckle
To open, press on the red recess of the cap. Then separate the two upper belt hold-
ers. To close the belt, insert the belt holders individually into the latch and press them
together until they click into place with an audible "click".
7.8 Headrest cushion
The height and width of the headrest angle can be adjusted by loosening the two
screws. The lower edge of the headrest must be adjusted so that there is at least 2
cm of space between it and the shoulder. (Fig. 24)
