Remove the 2 screws on the cover, and
remove the cover.

Push the spindle lock on the saw in and
unscrew the blade's lock screw clockwise
using the accompanying spanner.
Remove the blade. Do not dispose of the
old blade in your domestic refuse. Dispose
of it correctly in accordance with local
guidelines.
Clean any fi lings and sawdust from the
spindle and the fl anges.
Fit the new blade and secure the protective
guard and blade guard in place again.
Check that the direction specifi ed on the
saw blade matches the motor's direction of
rotation.
Turn the saw blade manually to check that
it does not catch against any of the other
parts even when set for bevelling.

Cleaning and maintenance

The mitre saw can be cleaned by wiping
its external parts with a damp cloth. Use
a brush or compressed air to remove any
fi lings and dirt from the saw bench and
awkward corners.
Never use corrosive or abrasive cleaning
agents, as they may attack the plastic parts
of the saw.
Replacing carbon brushes
Replace the carbon brushes when they are
worn.
NB! Both carbon brushes must be replaced
at the same time.
Vertical adjustment of the saw blade
Push the saw head down and secure it in
position using the locking pin (19).
Undo the screw on the side of the saw (A).
Place a try square against the saw bench
and adjust the blade so that it is exactly
fl ush with the try square.
Retighten the screw.
