Special safety instructions

Check that the motor's ventilation slots are
not blocked.
Never stop the saw blade by applying
pressure to the saw or to the side of the
blade.
Always use the correct blade for the type of
work to be performed. The saw is intended
for sawing wood, particle board, fi bre board,
plastic or similar and must not be used for
anything else.

Never use blades that are bent or have teeth
missing.
Never use blades that are too large or too
small.
Never use high-speed steel blades.
Never use blades with a maximum RPM less
than that of the tool.
Check that the direction specifi ed on the
blade matches the direction of rotation of
the motor. The saw blade teeth must point
downwards towards the saw bench on the
front of the saw.
Always use protective gloves when
handling the blade. Never put your hand
under the mitre saw or try to remove
material from the working area while the
blade is rotating. Never place your fi ngers
or hand on the workpiece being cut in front
of, behind or under the mitre saw while it is
running.
Never saw more than one workpiece at a
time.
Use extra supports (table, trestles or similar)
for long workpieces so they do not tip off
the work bench during sawing.
Do not saw workpieces that are so small
they cannot be securely clamped.

Never adjust the mitre angle or bevel angle
while the saw is running.
Always keep the spindle and fl anges for
mounting saw blades clean.
Never use the mitre saw if the blade guard is
not working correctly.
The blade guard should close automatically
when the mitre saw is not in use, and must
NEVER be secured open.
Never allow the blade to be in contact with
the workpiece to be cut, or other objects,
when starting the saw.
Check that the workpiece does not contain
nails, screws or other objects that may
damage the saw blade.
The saw blades will not stop immediately
when you release the on/off button.
Preparation and adjustment
Assembly and preparation
Fit the mitre saw to a suitable work bench
using assembly bolts fi tted through the
mounting holes in the base.
Fitting the dust bag/dust extractor
Attach the dust extractor hose or dust bag
to the dust extractor connector (14), and
ensure the dust extractor is on when the
saw is in use.
Fitting table extensions
Insert the table extensions in the holes on
the side of the base if you need to saw large
workpieces.
Fitting the clamp
Insert the clamp in the holder (13).
