1.4 Noseleg unit

1.4.1 Assembling the former framework
Drill two 3 mm Ø holes at the marked points in the mechanics support A11. Assemble the
framework of formers for the noseleg unit from parts (A1) to (A6) and (A11) as shown in the
drawing, align the parts carefully and glue all the joints securely. Make up the support for the
actuating arm (F24) from parts (A5) and (A6), and glue it to the inside of the left-hand
longitudinal former (A1). Glue parts A22 in place, then open up the two 3 mm Ø holes using
those in part A11 as a guide.

1.4.2 Installing the noseleg unit in the former framework

Glue the large bushes (F25) in parts (A1) and (A6), exactly in line with each other. Fit the
following parts on the aluminium tube (F29): on the inside, one lever (F24), fitted with a dowel
pin (F3), then, between (A1) and (A6), a collet (F26). On the outside of (A1) fit a further lever
(F24) and collet (F26) on the tube. Attach a brass linkage ball to the innermost hole of the
second lever (F24). Saw off the unwanted part of the lever.
