Connection to the compressed air system (see above)
Ensure that the pressure supplied by the compressed air system does not exceed the maximum allowable
pressure of the fastener driving tool. Set the air pressure initially to the lower value of the recommended
allowable pressure (see SPECIFICATIONS).
Preparing a tool for first time operation
Please read and observe these Operating Instructions before using the tool. Safety measures should
always be strictly followed to protect against damage to the equipment, personal injury to the user, or
people working in the area.
Lubricate the tool before use. 2 drops of air tool (PCL part no ISO 221L) oil applied directly into the
compressed air inlet (2) will increase tool life.
Affix a whip hose to the die grinder' compressed air inlet (2). This will minimise any 'whip' from the hose,
should it become disconnected. PCL offer a wide range of whip hoses, please speak to the customer
service team if you have any enquiries.
Take the 19mm spanner (5) place on the collet (4).
Take the 14mm spanner (6) place on the collet base (4).
Loosen the collet until you can fit a griding stone in securely. Ensure the grinding stones are not damaged
in anyway, such as cracks, deformations or splinters. DAMAGED STONES MUST NOT BE USED.
Tighten the collet securely with the spanners.
Ensure the workpiece is secure, use a clamp/vice. DO NOT hold the workpiece by hand.
Connect the die grinder to the compressed air system.
To operate the die grinder, press the safety lever forward whilst pressing the trigger (1) in a downwards
motion.
The grinding stone must be running at its maximum speed before attempting to grind.
Slowly and smoothly bring the stone to the workpiece avoiding any jerky movements.
Use adequate pressure on the die grinder to grind according to the type and size of the material you are
working with. Avoid subjecting stone to excessive strain or harsh impacts.
Always hold the die grinder firmly and ease the grinding stone against the workpiece. Maintain a
controlled adequate progression.
Take regular breaks when using the tool. This will limit any vibration to your hands and wrists.
WARNING! Disconnect the tool from air supply before changing accessories, servicing or performing
maintenance. Replace or repair damaged parts. Use genuine parts only. Unauthorised parts may be
dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.
5. MAINTENANCE
Please lubricate the tool only with specified lubricants. Lubricate the air inlet using only pneumatic tool oil.
Please add an appropriate amount of lubricating oil into the air connector before use. This will greatly
improve the performance and life of the air sander.
Grit or gum deposits in the nibbler may also reduce performance. If your model has an air strainer
(located in the area of the air inlet), remove the strainer and clean it.
