Caution Danger!
You may only put the unit into operation if you
have followed all the instructions in this manual up
to this point, the unit has been installed correctly
and the tests have been carried out successfully.
When setting up the unit, observe all the
specifications described in the chapter on safety.
The minimum distances must be observed and a
safe stand must be guaranteed. (see p.22)
1. Connect the mains plug to a properly installed
and fused socket.
- Make sure that the unit is completely switched
off when you plug it in.
- Make sure that the cable is completely unwound
or uncoiled.
- Make sure that the unit voltage (see rating plate)
and the mains voltage match.
- Make sure that the mains cable is always routed
behind the unit - never in front of it!
2. Switch on the unit by setting the mains switch to
„I (On)".
3. Open the gas cylinder valve by turning it to the
left.
4. From the intake side, check that the fan is working
correctly.
5. If the fan turns, keep the gas valve knob pressed
and at the same time press the ignition button
repeatedly until the burner ignites.
6. After successful ignition, keep the gas valve
button pressed for approx. 15-20 seconds. After
releasing, the gas fan heater should burn without
the safety valve open. In this case, the unit is
working correctly.
7. If the unit does not ignite, close the gas cylinder
valve and repeat steps 3) - 6) after 3-5 minutes.
Caution Danger!
If ignition is difficult or irregular, make sure that the
fan and the air inlet and outlet are not blocked before
repeating the ignition procedure.
Note
When first used, there may be an unpleasant odour, but
this is absolutely harmless and disappears completely
with increasing operating time.
Shutdown
See illustrated explanation on p. 26 of these operating
instructions.
1. Then close the gas cylinder valve by turning it to the
right. Make sure that it is tightly closed.
2. Run the fan for 1-2 minutes to blow out unburnt gas
and cool down the appliance.
3. Turn the mains switch to the „O" position.
4. Pull out the mains plug to disconnect the appliance
from the mains.
5. Disconnect the appliance from the gas cylinder by
unscrewing the pressure reducer from the gas cylinder
16
valve.
Changing the gas bottle
Caution Danger!
The gas cylinder must always be replaced in an
environment without ignition sources. Do not use
any tools to loosen the union nut of the pressure
regulator. If you cannot loosen it, grasp the entire
pressure regulator with your whole hand and move
it slightly. Then it should work effortlessly.
1. Make sure that the gas cylinder valve is closed.
2. Uninstall the pressure regulator by turning the
union nut clockwise.
3. Install a new gas bottle as described in the chapter
Assembly and carry out a leak test.

Climate control

The heater can also be used as a fan only. In this
case, do not connect the heater to a gas cylinder and
connect it to a suitable power source. Then switch the
mains switch for the fan to position „I".
Cleaning & Maintenance
Caution Danger!
Before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance
work make sure that the gas cylinder valve is
closed, the appliance is disconnected from the
power supply and has cooled down completely.
Only wipe the unit with a slightly damp cloth or blow it
off carefully with compressed air. Do not use aggressive
cleaning agents and never hold the appliance under
water.
The gas hose and pressure regulator must be checked
for leaks at regular intervals and after a longer period
of non-use and replaced if necessary. It is mandatory to
replace the pressure regulator and gas hose 10 years after
the date of manufacture. You will find the date on both
the gas hose and the pressure regulator.
Repairs and work not described in these instructions
may only be carried out by qualified personnel. Only use
original accessories and original spare parts.
Repairs that require opening the appliance are reserved
exclusively for the manufacturer or its customer service.
