Assembly & commissioning
Delivery
Remove the unit from the packaging and completely
remove all packaging parts from the unit. Unwrap the
mains cable completely and make sure that it is not
damaged.
Note
Please have visible damage to the outer packaging
confirmed by the driver of the parcel service
immediately upon delivery. If transport damage is only
noticed during unpacking, the parcel service must be
notified in writing within 24 hours of delivery in order
to hold them liable for the damage.
Danger!
Only use the assembly parts and gas type or gas
bottle sizes defined in these instructions.
Assembly
See illustrated explanation on p. 22-24 of this operating
manual.
1. Fit the handle (B) to the heater (A) with the 2 screws (E).
2. Attach the gas hose (C) to the heater (A).
3. Attach the pressure regulator (D) to the gas cylinder
by turning the union nut counterclockwise. Do not
turn the pressure regulator itself.
4. Then connect the end of the gas hose to the
pressure regulator by turning the union nut to the
left.
5. Check all connections and tighten them well.
Caution Danger!
Make sure that the direction of flow of the gas
corresponds to the direction of the arrow on the
pressure regulator during assembly.
The pressure regulator must not be twisted
after assembly.
Note
Before using the gas bottle, leave it upright for at least
one hour if it has been transported beforehand. You
must also make sure that the seals on the gas cylinder
valve are in perfect condition.
Leakage test
See illustrated explanation on p. 24 of these operating
instructions. A leak test must be carried out when the unit
is put into operation for the first time and after a longer
period of non-use. For this, the unit must be in a cold state.
Proceed as follows:
1. Open the gas tap of the gas bottle by turning it to the
left.
2. Close the gas tap again by turning it clockwise.
Caution Danger!
There must never be open flames or other sources
of ignition in the vicinity.
3. Spray all (screwed) connections from the gas
cylinder valve to the safety valve on the heater with
a commercially available leak detection spray or
alternatively with another bubble-forming substance
(such as soapy water). (p. 24) Where bubbles form, there
is a leak.
4. If you find a leak, tighten the nut on the affected
connection.
5. Then repeat steps 1-4 and check whether the leak has
been repaired. If this is not the case, both the gas hose
and the pressure reducer must be replaced. To do this,
contact the customer service.
Commissioning
See illustrated explanation on p. 25 of these operating
instructions.
