1. Ensure that the appliance is off.
2. Press the on/off button to start the appliance.
3. Immediately press the programme selection Up button and hold it for 3 seconds until all indicators on the control panel
have flashed once.
After this, the programme step indicators show the last set water hardness level.
4. Press the programme selection Up or Down button to change the water hardness level.
5. Press the on/off button to confirm the setting and switch off the appliance.

FILLING THE DISHWASHER DETERGENT RESERVOIR
Warning:
Store dishwasher detergent outside the reach of children on a cool and dry location.
Careful:
Only use dishwasher detergent that is suitable for dishwashers.

Do not place a dishwasher tablet in the cutlery basket. Only use the dishwasher detergent reservoir.
Note:
Dishwasher detergent is available in powder, gel and tablets and also as a combined product (with salt and/or rinsing
agent). Combined products only yield a sufficient result under certain conditions. Observe the instructions on the
packaging.
1. Fill the dishwasher detergent reservoir before starting the appliance.
2. Press the lock (A) to open the dishwasher detergent reservoir. See figure 11.
3. Fill the reservoir (B) with dishwasher detergent: See figure 12.
a. Use 25 grams of dishwasher detergent for heavily soiled items.
b. Use 15 grams of dishwasher detergent for lightly soiled items.
4. Close the dishwasher detergent reservoir.
5. Select a programme.
6. Close the door.

Careful: The dishwasher detergent reservoir has a 40 gram capacity. Do not overfill the dishwasher detergent
reservoir. This could lead to a poor solution of the dishwasher detergent and damage your glassware.
