PREPARING FOR OPERATION

1. Check that the electricity and water supply connections of the appliance correspond with the values stated in the
installation instructions.
2. Remove all packaging material from the appliance.
3. Fill the salt reservoir. Observe the instructions in section Filling the salt reservoir.
4. Fill the rinsing agent reservoir. Observe the instructions in section Filling the rinsing agent reservoir.

FILLING THE SALT RESERVOIR

For a good result, the appliance requires soft water (less lime). Salt is used to soften the water and prevents white lime
residues on your dishes and the interior of the appliance.
Careful:
Only use salt that is suitable for dishwashers. Do not use kitchen salt.
Notes:
- Fill the salt reservoir when the salt indicator on the control panel lights up.
- The salt reservoir only has to be filled with water when using the appliance for the first time.
1. Remove the lower basket.
2. Turn the cap (A) of the salt reservoir counter-clockwise to remove it. See figure 8.
3. Fill the salt reservoir with water. See figure 9.
4. Place a funnel in the opening of the salt reservoir.
5. Fill the reservoir with dishwasher salt up to the overflow level. See figure 10.
6. Place the cap on the salt reservoir.

Careful: Immediately remove spilled salt and run a complete programme to prevent corrosion
of the appliance.

SETTING THE SALT CONSUMPTION

The salt consumption of the appliance depends on water hardness.
Set the salt consumption in accordance with the information in the section below Water hardness level settings
(salt consumption).
Notes:
- Please contact your local water company to check the water hardness level in your region.
- By default, the water hardness level of the appliance is set to level 3.
