4. Terminating
the Oscan (termination
Correct operation of SCSI devices dictates that the SCSI chain be
correctly terminated. To terminate the chain, remove the terminator
from the terminated device in the current SCSI device chain; after
connecting the Qscan to the chain, re-connect the terminator to the
terminating device . If the Qscanis the terminating device, set the
terminator switch to ON. If not, set it to OFF. With respect to
canceling internal termination, always refer to the manual for the
appropriatedevice.

Der richtige Betrieb von SCSI-Geräten setzt voraus, daß dies SCSI-
Kette richtig abgeschlossen ist. Zum AbschlieBen der Kette den
Abschlußsteckcr
aus dem
vorhandenen
abziehen; nach dem Anschließen des Qscan an die Kette, den
Abschlußstecker wieder an das Abschlußgerät anbringen. Wenn der
Qscan das Abschlußgerät ist, den Abschlußschalter aufON stellen,
und wenn nicht auf OFF. Beim Aufheben der Abschlußschaltung
immer auch in der Bedienungsanleitung des betreffenden Gerätes
nachschlagen.

Un fonctionnement correct des périphériquesSCSI supposeque la
chaine SCSI soit correctement
terminateur du périphérique ultime dans I' actuelle chaine de
périphériquesSCSI. Apres avoir relié le Qscan dansIa chaine,
rebranchezle terminateur sur ie périphérique ultime. Si le Qscanest le
périphérique ultime, réglez son interrupteur de terminaison sur ON.
Dans Ie cas contraire, réglez-le sur OFF. En ce qui concerne
l'annulation de Ia terminaison interne, reportez-vous au mode
d' emploi du périphérique adéquat.
