COMMISSIONING
⚠ DANGER!
Also carefully read the instruction manual
of the brushcutter to which the device is
attached.
Before starting work, you must:
Check that there are no loose screws on
the machine and blade;
- check that the blades are sharp and wi-
thout signs of damage;
- check that the guards are well fixed and
efficient;
- check the attachment of the handles.
• Modalities of use
- Cut tall grasses, brushwood, twigs and
non-woody shrubs with a maximum dia-
meter of 1.5 cm; larger diameter cuts may
damage the machine.
- Before removing branches caught in
the blades, switch off the engine and re-
move the spark plug cap.
At work, always avoid bringing the blades
close to body parts.
With the machine stopped, always apply
the blade guard and remove the spark
plug cap.
⚠ DANGER!
Always operate with the engine switched off and after disconnecting the spark plug cap.
1. MAINTENANCE OF THE BLADE REDUCER CARTER
- Grease every 30 hours via the grease nipples provided.
- Use lithium-based grease for high temperatures and extreme pressures.
2. BLADE MAINTENANCE AND SHARPENING
⚠ DANGER!
Check periodically that the blades are not bent or damaged and that the fixed blade
comb is intact.
No blade gap adjustment is necessary, as the gap is predetermined at the factory. When
used in accordance with the instructions, the blades do not require any maintenance
or sharpening Sharpening is only necessary when the cutting performance decreases.
4. USE OF THE MACHINE
At work, take extreme care when working
near fixed obstacles (Figures p. 20).
LUBRICATION OF BLADES DURING WORK
If the cutting device becomes excessively
hot during work, the inner surfaces of the
blades must be lubricated with special oil.
⚠ DANGER!
This operation must be carried out with
the engine off and the blades stopped
and after disconnecting the spark plug
