Operating and mounting instructions
The anchoring base determines the anchoring material to be used. Only anchoring material that is approved or suitable for
the respective anchoring base may be used.
In the case of existing buildings, it is often helpful to ask the owner or the building authorities for available building
documents. These contain information about the anchoring base.
However, the alternative anchoring material must meet the following requirements:
Anchoring bolt or threaded rod:
Hexagon nut DIN/ISO 934:
Washer DIN/ISO 125:

3.2 Anchoring with the enclosed mounting material (drop-in anchor)

IMPORTANT: Before anchoring, please make absolutely sure that the subsurface is suitable for the fitting
supplied and that there are no cables, lines, pipes or similar in the drilling area. Otherwise, a different anchoring
method must be selected.
With the safe door open, remove the bottom cover. To do this, reach with a finger into the centrally located removal
opening below the bottom cover and lift the bottom cover. Now you can pull the bottom cover forward out of the safe.
Make sure that the seal on the bottom cover is not damaged. When the bottom cover is removed, you will see two
anchoring holes in the bottom of the safe. You can use both holes in the floor for anchoring. If you want to install a
burglar alarm system, the breakaway detector is installed in the large hole. The safe also has two cable holes underneath
the bottom cover. Both holes are sealed with a fire protection plug at the factory. The plugs can - when used as cable
openings - be pressed out of the holes from the outside.

Anchoring:
1.
Position the safe at the intended location and align it so that it is level. Mark the drilling position in the area to be
anchored through the anchoring holes in the safe.
2.
Drill 70 mm deep into the substrate with a masonry drill bit (Ø 20 mm ). Now clean the drill hole by
vacuuming out the drill dust [Fig. 1].
3.
Drive the drive-in anchor with light hammer blows through the anchoring hole in the safe flush with the floor
into the drill hole. You can use the thick side (Ø20 mm) of the driving tool for this [Fig. 2].
4.
The sleeve is then expanded with the driving tool (thin side Ø13 mm) by driving in the internal pin and braced
against the borehole wall [Fig. 3 and Fig. 4].
5.
Screw the hexagon head screw M16x50 (do not forget the washer) through the safe into the drop-in anchor and
tighten it with a torque of 60 Nm [Fig. 5].
