location, it may be necessary to
open the water drain of the de-
vice. If condensation forms, it can
drain through the opening.
• Pierce the breakout opening (I)
on the lower part of the mounting
plate using a pointed object (e.g.
screwdriver).

Carry out this process only when
the device is not connected to the
power supply!
• If necessary, release the latching
points via the latching lugs (E) (e.g.
using a screwdriver) and at the
same time pull the device off the
mounting plate.

• Place the motion detector back on
the mounting plate.
• Put the device back into operation.
7.5 Pairing
Read this section before starting
the pairing procedure.
Set up your Homematic IP Wired
Access Point using the Homemat-
ic IP App to be able to use the
Homematic IP Wired devices in
the system. For further informa-
tion, please refer to the operating
manual of the Wired Access Point.
To enable communication be-
tween Homematic IP Wired and
wireless components, the devices
must first be paired. The central
element of the system is either the
Wired Access Point, the Access
Point or the Home Control Unit.
Afterwards, control and configu-
ration of the devices using the app
is possible. A detailed description
of all pairing options can be found
in the
Wired system
Proceed as follows to pair the device
with your Central Control Unit:
• Open the Homematic IP App.
• Tap on ...More on the homescreen.
• Select the menu item Pair device.
• The pairing mode is active for 3
minutes.
You can manually start pairing
mode for another 3 minutes by
briefly pressing the system button.
