TRAVEL PIVOT ADJUSTMENT (Fig. 11)
NOTE: These adjustments were made at the factory and normally do not require readjustment.
The mitre saw should rise completely to the up position by itself. If the saw does not rise by itself or if there is play in the pivot
joints, the following adjustments are necessary.
a. Loosen the hex lock nut with an adjustable or 24 mm spanner.
b. Recheck the saw travel. The saw should rise freely to its up position. Check to see that the saw rises from all positions
and there is no play in the pivot. If the saw still does not fully rise, have it checked and repaired by an authorised service
centre.

is hard to move or if there is play in the pivot, make the following adjustments:
a. Loosen the bevel lock handle.
b. Loosen the hex lock nut with an adjustable or 19 mm spanner.
c. Recheck bevel movement of the mitre saw.

FENCE POSITIONS (Fig. 13)
The mitre saw has two fence positions. The front fence position is used for standard workpieces up to 2 x 101.6 mm,
for through sawing, bevels, floor and ceiling mouldings, and door frames.
The rear fence position is used for through sawing and bevels on standard 2 x 152.4 mm workpieces.
The base on either side of the work table has two sets of holes to position the fence. To change the fence position, remove
the two fence lock screws. Put the fence in the other position and secure it with the fence lock screws.
