The heating control lamp (7) lights up as soon as the heating element of the device starts heating
the water. The control lamp lights up at intervals when the water is being kept warm and when
boiling at intervals.
Removing / Attaching the Lid
1. Grip the lid (5) at the opening and pull it upwards.
If the device has been in operation, use potholders or similar gloves as the lid might be hot.
Always allow the device to cool down before filling it again.
2. To close the lid, place it on straight and press it down firmly with a little force. It must click
audibly into place and sit flat.
3. Place the teapot (2) on the lid. This closes off the device at the top.
Filling the Water Reservoir
Only ever fill the water reservoir (1) with fresh, clear tap water. Do not pour in any other
liquids.
1. Remove the lid (5) (see the "Operation" chapter – "Removing / Attaching the Lid").
2. Pour the desired quantity of water (maximum 4 litres) into the water reservoir. Note the MAX
marking (13).
3. Close the lid (see the "Operation" chapter – "Removing / Attaching the Lid").
Operating the Discharge Tap
There are two possible ways of removing the water from the water reservoir (1) using the
discharge tap (10).
Touch Mode (Picture A1)
1. Press down the lever (11) and keep it pressed down. The discharge tap opens and water flows
out.
2. Let go of the lever when the quantity of water you want has been removed. The discharge tap
closes again.
Constant Mode (Picture A2)
1. Flip the lever all the way back. It locks in place in this position. The discharge tap opens and
water flows out.
2. Let go of the lever again and tip it forwards (do not press it down) to close the discharge tap.
