Setting Up and Connecting the Device
PLEASE NOTE!
• Only connect the device to a plug socket that is properly installed and matches the tech-
nical data of the device. The plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection so
that the connection to the mains can be quickly isolated.
• Do not use the device in conjunction with extension cables.
• Do not place the device below kitchen wall units or similar cupboards. The rising steam
could cause damage to them!
• The surfaces of furniture may possibly contain elements which can attack and soften the
feet of the device. If necessary, place a suitable pad below the feet.
1. Place the device on the kitchen unit or another dry, solid, flat, heat-resistant and splash-proof
work surface. Ensure there is sufficient clear space on all sides (at least 20 cm to the sides and
30 cm above).
2. Ensure that the On / Off switch (3) is in the 0 (Off) position.
3. Fully unwind the connecting cable and connect it to a plug socket which is easily accessible.
Operation
On / Off Switch
To allow the device to be supplied with power and be used, move the On / Off switch (3) to the
I (On) position. The operating lamp in the On / Off switch lights up.
Thermostat Control
The thermostat control (6) is used to switch the device on and off and set the temperature of the
water.
Turn the thermostat control fully anticlockwise. The heating control lamp (7)

goes out.

Turn the thermostat control to the W position. Water
temperature: 60 – 70°C
Turn the thermostat control to the H position. Water
temperature: 85 – 95°C
Turn the thermostat control as far as it will go clockwise to
the B position. Water temperature: 100°C
Once the water has boiled, turn the thermostat control
back approx. ¼ turn; it should still be in the red range B.
Water temperature: 95 – 100°C
