Do not operate the device close to flammable
liquids/materials, or in a potentially explo-
sive environment.
Keep at a distance of at least 30 cm from
walls.
In order to prevent overheating of the device
and to ensure optimal drying:
– Do not cover the device.
– Ensure that the ventilation slots on the un-
derside of the base unit are kept free.
– Place the device on a level and smooth

um foil, or similar) completely.
Some parts of the device and the food to be de-
hydrated heat up during operation. Therefore:
Only touch the device by its handles and
control elements.
Allow the dehydrated food to cool before re-
moving.
Let the device cool down before transport
and cleaning!
Only use the original accessories!
Do not use any astringent or abrasive clean-
ing agents!

Food dehydration
General information
The dehydration process occurs at relatively low
temperatures (40 - 70 °C) and preserves the food
without any additives. The major part of the vita-
mins remains intact. The drying process causes a
concentration of minerals, fibres and nutrients.
Therefore, many items of food that have been de-
hydrated have an intensive aroma.
Dehydrated food is perfect for storage and trans-
port.
Typical uses:
–
eat dehydrated fruit directly
–
soak mushrooms first and then process fur-
ther
–
add herbs while cooking
Basic functioning of the food
dehydrator
Your food dehydrator draws fresh air through the
ventilation slots 6 on the underside and heats it
up. The warm, dry air flows through the food de-
hydrator trays 2/3 from the bottom to the top.
Therefore:
–
Do not overload the food dehydrator trays.
–
Do not cover the mesh screens of the food
dehydrator trays.
–
Ensure free ventilation all around.
