Hose installation:
This pump is designed for use with flexible hoses. Rigid pipes or hoses can damage the
pump or the pump outlet.
Factors that can limit the flow of the bilge pump include the following:
• Length of outlet hose (a longer hose reduces the flow)
• Number of bends and their radii
• Reduction of the cross section (hose constriction) by components of the outflow
system, e.g., non-return valves and chassis lead-throughs
The outlet hose must be attached to the hose plug nipple with stainless steel hose
clamps.
Use a hose clamp to fix the hose line to a plug-in nipple.
The waste water pump and the non-return valve must be regularly removed, cleaned and
checked for damage. Contamination in the area around these components, which can
affect the performance of the pump, must be removed.
Installation:
Place the waste water pump in the opening provided in the rear base area of the STORCH
ColorFree top separating unit. route the waste water hose attached to the pump with a
hose clamp through the slot in the rear wall and fasten the end of the waste water hose
to a suitable drain with a hose clamp. The hose end diameter is approx. 21 mm.
