Receive bandwith
To change the receive-bandwith, press the remote
control buttons in the sequence shown above. The
selected mode is shown in the display:

The wide-mode is indecated by the -Symbol.
The tuner's default setting is narrow-band STEREO.
When in this reception mode the tuner suppresses inter-
ference from adjacent stations, and provides outstanding
reproduction quality even under difficult reception
conditions.
Attenuator
To active the attenuator, press the remote control buttons
in the sequence shown above.
The selected mode is shown in the display:

However, if reception conditions are very favourable, and
if there are no problematic transmitters in the vicinity of
the station you have selected. Then switching to the
reception mode 'WIDE' may produce even better results
in terms of sound quality, although the station separation
is necessarily slightly worse.
So if you hear interference on the WIDE setting, we
suggest that you switch back to NARROW.

In use of the system handset F1 you can use this

When you have tuned in a station close to an unusually
powerful local transmitter you may experience intermo-
dulation effects (whistling and twittering - known as
'birdies').
