This user manual contains important information regarding the operation of your X SENSE smoke
detector. Ensureyou read this user manual ful y before installing and operating the detector. f you
are installing this smoke detector for use by others, you must leavethis manual (or a copy of it) with
the end user.
Introduction
hank you for purchasing X-SENSEO Smoke Detector. This smoke detector conforms with the
European Standard EN14604:2005+AC:2008 and is designed to detect smoke. The X-SENSE@ r ange

Please note this device does NOT detect flames, heat, carbon monoxide or other hazardous gases.
• Battery Operated
Long ife lithium ion battery sea ed in the detector to prolong its lifetime to 10 years in standby
condition.
• Low Battery Warning
Alarm beeps and LED indicator flashes every 60 seconds when the battery is ow.
• Malfunction Warning
Alarm beeps twice and LEDindicator flashes every 40 seconds when the detector is in malfunction.
• Alarm Pause (Hush Mode)
Si ence your smoke detector by shortly pressing the test button when non-emergency smoke
(e.g. steam) causes nuisance alarms. The red light flashes every 5 seconds to remind you that the
smoke detector has been silenced. The detector will automatical y reset after 9 minutes.
• Loud 85 Decibel Piezo Electric Alarm
Automatical y resets when hazardous condition has passed.

Note: For maximum protection, use smoke detectors on each level and in every bedroom of
your home.
This unit was designed specifical y for use in a residential environment. It is NOT tested for
eisure camper vans or caravans. It is not suitable for arge passenger boats.
When smoke is detected:
The alarm sounds repeated y. The red LED indicator flashes with a simultaneous alarm sound.
