working with the lawn mower.
d) If the machine makes unusual
noises or vibrates unusually,
switch off the machine immediate-
ly and let it come to a standstill.
Remove the battery from the
machine and carry out the fol-
lowing steps before switching
on and operating the machine
again:
- Check the machine for dam-
age;
- replace or repair all damaged
parts;
- check whether there are any
loose parts and tighten as nec-
essary.
Additionally when using
the hand control
a) Use the machine only in daylight
or with good artificial lighting.
b) Avoid operating the machine
when the grass is wet.
c) Do not operate the machine if
you are not wearing closed foot-
wear. Always wear sturdy shoes
and long trousers.
d) Always make sure you have a
firm footing on slopes.
e) Be especially careful when re-
versing the lawn mower or pull-
ing it towards you.
f) Always start the motor accord-
ing to the instructions and make
sure that your feet are at a suf-
ficient distance from the blade.
g) Only operate the machine at
walking speed.
h) Mow across the slope, never up
or down.
i) Take special care when changing
the direction of travel on slopes.

j) Do not mow on overly steep
slopes.
k) Stop the cutting blade(s) when
the lawn mower has to be
tipped for transport over other
areas than grass and when the
lawn mower is moved from and
to the area to be mowed.
l) When starting or turning the
motor on, the lawn mower must
not be tilted, unless it is required
to lift the lawn mower in the
process. In this event, tilt it only
as far as absolutely necessary
and lift it only on the side facing
away from the user.
m) Never place your hands or feet
on or below rotating parts. Al-
ways keep away from the ejec-
tor opening.
n) Never lift or carry a lawn mow-
er when the motor is running.
o) Never use the lawn mower with
damaged protective equipment
or protective grating or without
installed protective equipment,
e.g. deflector plates and/or
grass collection equipment.
p) Do not start the motor when
standing in front of the emission
duct.
q) Always stand behind the lawn
mower during operation.
r) When you park the lawn mow-
er, put it in the resting position

and remove the battery from
the lawn mower.

Maintenance and storage

a) Ensure that all nuts, bolts and
screws are tight to ensure that
the machine is in a safe work-
ing condition.
