Operation
Switching the appliance on
and off
As soon as you plug the mains plug into the
socket, the appliance is switched on.
– All symbols in the display will light up for
3 seconds and the start sound will be au-
dible.
– After the start sequence, the display will
switch back to the normal operating dis-
play.
– The pre-settings for the temperatures are
+4 °C for the fridge and –18 °C for the
freezer.
– By opening one of the upper doors, the in-
terior lighting is switched on. It will switch
off again automatically when the doors are
closed.
Stand-by mode
If no sensor buttons are touched for 30 sec-
onds, all the lights on the display will go out.
• To switch the indicators back on, press any
sensor button or open a door.
The button lock is activated if no door is
opened or a button is pressed within 30
seconds.
The alarm sound can be stopped by pressing
any button in the locked state, but all other
button operations must be performed in the
unlocked state.
Setting the refrigerator
temperature
1. To change the set temperature of the re-
frigerator, press the sensor button TEMP.
SELECT (24).
2. Set the temperature with the sensor but-
tons
(23) or
(25).
Each press lowers or raises the set temper-
ature by 1 °C. The temperature setting takes
effect after the display panel is locked. The
setting range for the temperature in the refrig-
erator is +2 °C to +8 °C.
Setting the freezer temperature
1. To change the set temperature of the
freezer, press the button TEMP. SELECT
(24).
2. Set the temperature with the sensor but-
tons
(23) or
(25).
Each press lowers or raises the set tem-
perature by 1 °C.
The temperature setting takes effect after the
display panel is locked. The setting range for
the temperature in the freezer is –24 °C to
–16 °C.
Activating Super Cooling mode
• To activate Super Cool mode after the tem-
perature of the refrigerator is set to 2 °C,
press the sensor button
In Super Cool mode, the temperature of
the refrigerator compartment is automati-
cally set to 2 °C.
• To deactivate Super Cool mode, press the
sensor button
(25).
Super Cool mode is automatically deactivated
after 6 hours. When Super Cool mode ends,
the temperature of the refrigerator automati-
cally returns to the temperature that was set
before Super Cool mode.
Activating Super Freeze mode
• To activate Super Freeze mode after the
temperature of the freezer is set to –24 °C,
press the sensor button
In Super Freeze mode, the temperature of
the freezer is automatically set to –24 °C.
• To deactivate Super Freeze mode, press
the sensor button
Super Freeze mode is automatically deac-
tivated after 24 hours. After leaving Super
Freeze mode, the temperature in the freezer
automatically returns to the temperature set
before Super Freeze mode.
