3. Insert the supplied hex key into the hole in the middle of
the disposer's lower surface. Turn the key backwards and
forwards until you manage to rotate it completely. Then
remove the hex key.
DANGER – injury, damage
The hex key must no longer be inserted into the
disposer's lower surface if you wish to put the
disposer back into operation.
4. Carefully remove the foreign object from the grinding chamber.
You might like to use tools such as a pair of pliers or a screwdriver
with a long handle.
5. Insert the mains plug back into the socket outlet.
6. Let the motor cool down for about 10 minutes and then press the overload
protection once (red reset button on the disposer's lower surface).
Note: The BLANCO FWD Max model has an auto-reverse function. This
means that the grinding discs rotate in the opposite direction when a
foreign object gets stuck so that the object can detach itself. However, if
the disposer should remain blocked, follow the steps as described above.
Cause
Disposer overheated
Solution
A motor circuit breaker protects the disposer against damage if it gets too
hot - due to excessive use, for example. Let the motor cool down for about 10
minutes and then press the overload protection once (red reset button on the
disposer's lower surface).
Cause
Disposer does not receive a signal from the switch box.
Solution
Check all cabling and the hose between the pneumatic switch (air switch) and
the switch box for damage. Check that all cables are connected correctly.
Does the disposer work if you briefly connect the line to the motor directly to
the building connection socket outlet?
If not: press the overload protection once (red reset button on the disposer's
lower surface) and try again. Check whether the power supply is working at
the house connection socket outlet by briefly plugging in another device there
and testing it. The pneumatic switch/air switch may be defective.
