8. BATTERY OF THE WEIGHING INDICATOR AND REPLACEMENT
8.1 For the replacement of the battery that is located inside the support column of the display:
8.1.1 Loosen the screws fastening the battery cover and remove the cover.
8.1.2 Loosen the screw on battery and take the battery out of its socket.
8.1.3 Put the new battery into the socket.
8.1.4 Screw the battery compartment cover back on.

DISPOSAL INFORMATION

DISPOSAL OF BATTERIES
Exhausted batteries cannot be discarded with normal solid waste but, since they are made up of harmful
materials, they must be collected, disposed of and/or recycled according to the regulations in force in the
relevant country.
DISPOSAL OF LUBRICATING OILS
Used oil must be collected and not dispersed through normal drains; specialised companies can be
contacted to dispose of or possibly recycle industrial oils, according to the regulations in force in the relevant
country.
SCRAPPING THE PALLET TRUCK
The pallet truck is made of recyclable metal and plastic parts. Below is a list of materials used to make the
sub-units of the pallet truck:
FRAME: Frame: steel; wheels: Vulkollan, polyurethane, rubber; finishing: plastic.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: Cables: copper cores and PVC sheets; motors: steel, copper and aluminium; circuit
board: aluminium, copper, ceramic and plastic HYDRAULIC SYSTEM: Tank: rubber and plastic; pump unit:
cast iron and steel.
