Pin Connections of Microphone Socket
Capacitor and dynamic microphones:
pins 1 - 2 left-hand channel -
pins 4 - 2 right-hand channel
Balanced line studio microphones:
pins 1 - 3 left-hand channel
pins 4 - 5 right-hand channel
Volume Control Accuracy:
The accuracy of the volume control setting, per
channel is 2 dB in the frequency range of
20 - 20 000 Hz. With the loudness circuit in
operation this figure might be slightly degraded.
Effective Range of Tone Controls
measured against Linear position.
Bass control:
+16.5 dB/ —17 dB at 40 Hz
Treble control:
+15 dB / —17 dB at 16 kHz
Tone selector:
+15 dB / —15 dB at 160 Hz, 400 Hz,
1 kHz, 2.5 kHz and 6.3 KHz
Stereo Balance: (Left and Right)
Setting range: +2.8/—11 dB
Noise Filter:
Roll off, —3 dB at 6.8 kHz.
Slope steepness > 35 dB/octave
Output Facilities:
a) 4 loudspeakers to DIN 41 529 (Impedance 4 &.
Minimum
impedance 3.2 Q) for stereo in two
separate rooms. It is permissible to connect
loudspeakers with an impedance of up to 16 2
provided that the associated loss in output
power can be tolerated. The amplifier is
fitted with an automatic short circuit protection
device which comes into operation when the
output load falls below 1.5 Q.
b) 2 sockets to DIN 45 327 for connecting 2 sets
of stereo headphones. Output impedance in the
range 5 to 2000 2.
c) Line output: 410 mV in 47 kQ for 500 mV on
Tape input. 460 mV in 47 kQ for 5 mV on
Phone input. Ri = 5.6 kQ. Short-circuit proof. For
connecting tape recorders, amplifiers or mixer
units with corresponding
input socket.
Damping Factor:
The internal impedance of the amplifier is 0.12 kQ
and when connected to a 4 Q load this will give
a damping factor of 30 dB. This damping factor is
improved when using loudspeakers of a higher
impedance.
