Always switch the vehicle engine and electrics OFF before connecting the product.
Make sure the vehicle is properly secured (e.g., car parking brake is engaged, boat is se-
curely moored).
Risk of electric shock! Never use the product with wet hands.
Risk of burns! Engines compartments can become dangerously hot after use. Always al-
low to cool to room temperature before connecting the product.
5.9 Working with rechargeable batteries
Avoid creating sparks by connecting battery leads in the correct order. Sparking can
damage the vehicle electrical system and/or ignite flammable substances.
Before charging, the electrolyte (battery acid) must be filled to the maximum marked
levels. Never use tap water. Distilled water must be used.
Never attempt to recharge frozen or damaged batteries.
When working around vehicles and batteries, be aware that loose hair, clothing, and jew-
ellery (e.g., rings, bracelets, necklaces, and watches) can get trapped and/or conduct
electricity and cause electric shock or burns.
Keep battery contact terminals clean. Contamination can lead to incorrect measurement
results due to poor conductivity.

Description
6 V normal
For charging 6-volt Lead-acid batteries (e.g., wet cell, gel cell).
6 V cold/AGM
For charging 6-volt advanced AGM batteries, which requires a
higher than normal charging voltage.
12 V normal
For charging 12-volt Lead-acid batteries (e.g., wet cell, gel cell).
12 V cold/AGM
For charging 12-volt AGM batteries, which requires a higher than
normal charging voltage.
12 V small normal
For charging 12-volt Lead-acid batteries (e.g., wet cell, gel cell). Al-
lows the unit to operate at a lower charge current for smaller batter-
ies.
12 V small cold/AGM For charging 12-volt AGM batteries, which requires a higher than
normal charging voltage. Allows the unit to operate at a lower
charge current for smaller batteries.
12 V recovery
An advanced battery recovery mode for repairing and restoring, old,
idle, damaged, stratified or sulfated batteries.
Lithium
For charging 12.8-volt lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries.
NOTE: For use on batteries with battery management systems
(BMS) only.
Power supply
This mode converts the charger to a constant voltage DC power
supply.
It can be used to power 12 V/DC devices (e.g., tire inflators, seat
heaters and more).
4
As a power supply, it can also be used to retain a vehicle's on-
board computer settings during battery repair or replacement.

7.2 Connecting the charger to the battery
Note:
If you connect a battery with a voltage of >= 14 V, the error indicator lights up.
6
1. Consult the car operating instructions on how to connect an external battery charger. If
the car operating instructions are different from the instructions below, follow the car op-
erating instructions to connect the charger to the battery.
2. Disconnect the charger from the power supply.
3. Clean the battery terminals.
4. Connect the battery charging cable to the battery charger cable.
5. Connect the red (+) clamp to the positive (+) battery terminal.
6. Connect the black (-) clamp to the negative (-) battery terminal.
7. Wiggle the clamps back and forth to ensure good contact.
7.3 Charging the battery
Notes:
– The charger automatically activates the last used mode.
Notes:
– If the battery is fully charged and you do not disconnect the battery, the charger enters
trickle charging.
