Art-Net Operation

► Making the Connections

For control via Art-Net, connect the controller's INPUT Ethernet port to a computer network. Either via
an Ethernet switch or directly to a PC or notebook. Use a standard network cable.

The OUTPUT Ethernet connector on the controller serves for relaying the data signal to the next
controller.
► Configuration

Launch your lighting control software (e. g. MADRIX).

At the controller, call menu item <Network Settings> and set up the communication to the computer
network.

Shortly turn the controller off and on again after having changed the IP address.

Select the DMX mode (menu item <DMX Address>).

Map the bars in your software (under MADRIX e.g. with the Generator or Patch).

Control the LED strips with the software ( documentation of the software).

Operation without External Control

In automatic mode, 30 show programs are available that run at an adjustable speed.

Press MODE to call the menu and select <Auto Mode> with the buttons UP and DOWN. Confirm with
ENTER.

Select <PROGRAM> with the buttons UP and DOWN and confirm with ENTER.

Use the buttons UP and DOWN to select the number of the desired program and confirm with ENTER.

Select < SPEED > with the buttons UP and DOWN and confirm with ENTER.

Use the buttons UP and DOWN to adjust the running speed of the program and confirm with ENTER.

Interconnecting Several Controllers (Master/Slave Operation)

Several controllers may be interconnected. Then all slave units can be synchronized and controlled with the
master unit without the need for a DMX controller. The units must be set to the corresponding operating
modes.
► Slave Units
Configure all slave units before connecting the master unit.

In each case, press MODE to call the menu and select <Slave Mode> with the buttons UP and DOWN.
Confirm with ENTER.

Select < Slave Mode [YES]> with the buttons UP and DOWN and confirm with ENTER.

Connect the DMX output of the master unit to the DMX input of the first slave unit. Then connect the
DMX output of the first slave unit to the DMX input of the second slave unit, etc. until all units have been
connected in a chain. Make sure the master unit is the first in the chain. Do not connect a DMX
controller to the DMX input of the master unit.
► Master Unit

Press MODE to call the menu and select <Slave Mode> with the buttons UP and DOWN. Confirm with
ENTER.

Select < Slave Mode [YES]> with the buttons UP and DOWN and confirm with ENTER.

Set the master unit to the desired show program (menu item <Auto Mode>). The interconnected
controllers will now operate in sync.
