3. First usage
3.1 General information for first usage
BWT MIXXO connects the cold water supply to
an existing faucet and a BWT filter cartridge.
The remote control can be used to switch bet-
ween filtered and unfiltered water.

» may only be used with cold water that
fulfills the legal requirements for drinking
water quality.
» may only be installed in combination with
an original BWT filter cartridge. Any other
use is considered improper.
When the filter is installed for the first time,
the filter cartridge must be rinsed with cold
water to deaerate it. Details of this procedure
can be found in the instructions supplied with
the filter cartridge. The water used for rinsing
must be discarded.
