OPerAtION
WArNINg – risk of damage!
The appliance may only be operated when there is a full pan on the
hob. The overheating protection mechanism is activated if empty pots
are heated and the appliance switches off. This could damage the pot
or the appliance.
• Always lift pots and pans upwards off the hob.
• Do not push or pull them over the hob as this
could scratch the glass surface.
Operation
NOte:
The appliance can be controlled either via the "Power" or "Temperature" settings.
The "Power" setting is recommended for heating water, for steaming and for
similar cooking applications. The "Temperature" setting is recommended for
frying, deep­frying or similar applications.
WArNINg – hot surfaces!
Surfaces that can be touched may be very hot after the cooking process
due to radiated heat.
The appliance has a soft­touch operating panel. An acoustic signal is emitted every
time that a button is pressed.
Starting up the appliance:
1. Connect the appliance to the mains as described in the "Mains connection"
section. The appliance is in standby mode (i.e. ready for operation): "– L –"
appears on the display.
2. Place a suitable full pan on the hob.
3. Press the

If no further settings are activated for more than 1 minute, the appliance
switches back to standby mode and "– L –" appears on the display once again.
4. Select the desired operating setting (Power or Temperature) with the
